Lowering Suspension RT with ESA

Postby Dill » Wed May 30, 2018 11:37 am

Hi Guys I am thinking of fitting HyperPro Lowering springs 30ml to my RT. I know I may have a problem with the stands etc which i can get sorted. I have been told that the ESA needs to be set in a particular position before removing the shocks how true that is I don't know. I have a standard seat fitted at the moment with lowered foot pegs, and with a 29" inside leg, i'm on the balls of my feet. I have also a low seat which does the trick, but can't get comfortable and suffer leg pains on long rides. I am thinking lowering the bike by 30ml might just do the trick.

Just wondered if any one has lowered their RT any comments

Regards

Dill

I have lowered my R by 30mm, i went down the Wilbers route, so new shocks, with the Rear ESA transferred to the rear shock. seems to work well with better shock absorber performance, you should also be able to a footrest lowering kit, which will open up the hips a bit. ESA needed to be set in Normal setting (with engine on so it actually will reset)
